About Inside Wirtschaft - Der Podcast mit Manuel Koch | Börse und Wirtschaft im Blick

Inside Wirtschaft is a German interview show for people who follow markets as a living system rather than a daily scoreboard. It begins with events. A ceasefire, a war, an interest-rate decision, a DAX selloff, a commodity shock, or a public-budget dispute becomes the reason to ask what happens next. The answers are rarely one-line takes. Guests are given space to explain the machinery behind the move, from gold’s link to the US dollar to oil supply routes, ETF concentration, consulting demand, and the way a trade can turn from disciplined entry into escalation. The show often returns to the same investor question: what should change in a portfolio when the outside world becomes less predictable? That gives the episodes a practical spine. It is not dry, though. Robert Halver brings vivid fiscal warnings, Tim Oechsner breaks trading behavior into rules and examples, David Döbele maps the labor market for business graduates, and Michael Blumenroth connects energy prices to production costs and supply pressure. Manuel Koch’s presence gives the format continuity without turning it into a monologue. The interviews stay close to German concerns, especially the DAX, infrastructure spending, inflation, finance-sector jobs, and the country’s industrial outlook. At the same time, the frame is global. Iran, Ukraine, US monetary policy, emerging-market currency pressure, New York museums, and oil routes through the Middle East all enter the conversation when they matter to the market story. Recent episodes also show the show’s range. A Salon Schinkelplatz conversation with Peter Raue moves from law and art to Berlin institutions, MoMA loans, sponsors, and cultural memory. That breadth can be surprising, but it fits the program’s habit of treating economics as something embedded in politics, work, cities, and personal decisions. The tone is serious without being sealed off from personality. It is best for listeners who can follow financial vocabulary and want the reasoning behind market nerves, not just the headline that markets are nervous.

Made for: For German-speaking investors, finance professionals, business students, and market watchers who want concrete context on stocks, commodities, ETFs, policy, and careers. It expects some comfort with financial terms but keeps the stakes practical.

What sets it apart: The show pairs current market events with long-form expert answers, letting guests build a thesis through figures, examples, and investor consequences. Its range stretches from gold and oil to consulting jobs, public debt, and Berlin cultural life.
