Good morning gets tested first. The guest wakes the room up, carries John's greeting, and talks about coming in after a packed run of ministry across Texas and Michigan. She says something has shifted. People are tired of letting hate, unbelief, and strife get the last word. Then Matthew takes over. Reading from The Message, she keeps landing on one warning: do not be intimidated. Intimidation, she says, shuts down the gift of God, so she repeats it until the room has to deal with it. The message moves from warning to readiness, with a call to stay awake while God exposes what has been hiding. Her own story keeps the sermon from floating away. She remembers walking into Christian songs confused, angry, and ready to leave while everyone else raised their hands. Then the song sheet catches her. A line about robes of righteousness breaks through, and suddenly sin, shame, and the possibility of God seeing Jesus all become painfully real. The park bench is where it turns. John keeps preaching, she worries about missing the rapture, and the story gets funny without losing its edge. Surrender becomes simple after that. She confesses what she can, gets born again, and asks for the Holy Spirit because she wants to be closer to God. The close stays at the altar. Worship rises while the prayer reaches for healed hearts, sound minds, purity, joy, strength, and a future where broken things become blessing. The final prayer centers the cross, the resurrection, and the choice to follow Jesus with a light that reaches the world.
