About MarcoToday NL
MarcoToday NL is a Dutch-language interview show centered on spirituality, esoteric traditions, symbolic history, and the search for meaning outside ordinary modern categories. It moves slowly. Episodes usually begin with a clear question, then give the guest room to build a large personal or intellectual case. Some conversations are historical and geographical. Eelco de Boer links Dutch place names, churches, dolmens, old sanctuaries, biblical stories, Greek myth, Germanic myth, and global lines into a claim that the Netherlands may hold sacred significance. That episode captures the show’s appetite for pattern. A map is never just a map. A place name can become evidence, a church can become a marker, and a disputed alignment can open a much larger spiritual argument. Other episodes turn toward the body and the inner life. Sietze Graafsma, described as an internist, speaks about the person behind the diagnosis and the need for vulnerability, courage, trust, and presence in medical care. Sarah Leers presents Human Design as a system for understanding choices, purpose, and personal integration. Mark Linde’s conversation follows a movement from fear to love, with Maria Magdalena, shamanic ceremony, and the journey from head to heart as central images. Michel Dijkstra brings philosophy into the mix through Taoism, darkness, and the idea that the deepest questions of existence may not be solved by more light. Jan Ott discusses the Ura Linda as a disputed manuscript that still provokes fascination. Aris Otzen connects biology, yoga, Raja Yoga, moral evolution, and levels of being. Abe van der Veen’s Parzival episode brings mythic storytelling into the same field of concern, where silence, wounded kings, and renewal become inner symbols. The show’s power is its seriousness. It does not treat these subjects as quirky curiosities. It gives them time, reverence, and argument, even when the claims are unconventional or unresolved. MarcoToday NL is best heard as a long corridor of conversations about hidden continuity: between old texts and modern places, illness and humanity, darkness and insight, fear and love, myth and lived experience.
Made for: For Dutch-speaking listeners interested in esotericism, comparative religion, myth, alternative history, spiritual self-inquiry, and meaning-centered conversations about health and culture. It especially suits people comfortable with long guest monologues and unconventional claims.
What sets it apart: The show stands apart by letting guests build full symbolic systems instead of reducing them to quick debates or skeptical summaries. It connects Dutch geography, disputed manuscripts, Eastern philosophy, medical vulnerability, yoga, Human Design, and Grail myth into one continuous search for meaning.
In their own words
