We're Alive: Descendants - Chapter 22 - Vincere Vel Mori... to Conquer or Die - Part 3 of 3

February 24, 2026·57 min·4 clips
The survivors return home only to deliver heartbreaking news that changes everything.
The episode opens with Alex's team successfully extracting gold from the ravine where a bridge once collapsed, overcoming Gloria's reluctance to return to the cursed location. The operation succeeds, and the team prepares to travel to the UA to trade the gold for weapons and supplies to help Westport. Meanwhile, Nick and Will arrive at the Republic facility where they're immediately detained as deserters. They negotiate for their lives by offering Tanya's research on the infected, revealing that Nick is immune and survived the arena games in Prim. Chancellor Friedrich initially orders their execution but spares them when he realizes Nick's value as the only known immune survivor. The two are given access to a lab to continue research on finding a cure for the infection. Simultaneously, Vera returns to Westport with Vincent, a member of the Tenuto family who helped her escape. They discover that President Zhang has been removed from office and replaced by President Hoggs. The Republic has launched a major offensive against Westport, and the defenders are struggling against superior numbers and equipment. The survivors reunite but learn devastating news about their losses - Pegs didn't survive their escape from Prim, and Riley was seriously wounded. As the battle intensifies, the Republic forces advance with heavy armor that the defenders cannot stop. In the lab, Nick and Will conduct experiments on a captured infected, during which Nick demonstrates his ability to hear and understand infected communications through pheromones. He learns that the infected are coordinating under Cole's influence, spreading messages to gather all infected in one location. The episode reaches its climax as Westport's defenses crumble under the Republic assault. Despite fierce resistance from the guardians and volunteers, they are forced to retreat to inner defensive positions. Just as the situation becomes desperate, an unexpected ceasefire is called - President Hoggs has negotiated a surrender with Republic forces, effectively ending Westport's independence. The episode concludes with the shocking realization that Westport has fallen not through military defeat, but through political capitulation, leaving the survivors' fate uncertain as the series moves toward its final season.
