HOLLOW DISCIPLE - Episode 1 - Extraction

December 26, 2025·18 min·1 clip

The host reveals a new dark sci-fi thriller, Hollow Disciple, set in a far distant universe.

The episode opens with a short promotional note for Hollow Disciple as a spinoff of Wake of Corrosion, then transitions into the first scene. XO Rosa Oliveira is trying to raise the extraction team on the radio of their salvage ship — the LP — but receives only static. She orders Lars, a new crew member, to suit up and board the adjacent derelict vessel to establish visual contact. Lars struggles with an unfamiliar suit design and Rosa walks him through the seals remotely. Lars has a history of bad luck — his previous ship was scuttled after only a few days, something Rosa teases him about. Lars cycles through the exterior hatch and enters the derelict vessel, describing its interior as dark purple with non-uniform grey struts — a design neither he nor Rosa has seen before. Rosa reminds Lars the extraction crew has at most two hours of oxygen, and the silent radio is not unprecedented — their equipment is generally poor quality. Lars and Rosa discuss the likely origin of the vessel: the Human Expansion Collective, a large faction most of whose fleet is away fighting a war. They speculate the remote location — far from any inhabited planet or station — suggests this was a project the Collective wanted hidden. Lars follows an ISO marker left by the extraction crew and hears a distant scream. Rosa, unfazed, tells him to keep moving. Lars finds Murphy's spacesuit standing alone, solar shield down, sealed and fully fastened — but completely empty. He opens the visor and both he and Rosa hear a clear, static-free sound emerge from the suit's interior. Rosa attempts to explain it away as the headset; Lars is unconvinced. Rosa argues they still have to proceed on the assumption someone is in danger, and invokes the crew's guiding principle that the crew stands together. She recalls Captain Tanvir's induction speech to Lars, who joined only a week earlier. Lars begins heading deeper into the vessel following the original marker. The episode ends abruptly as Lars appears to be struck by an unseen force.
