S2E2: Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow

·23 min·3 clips
Characters break down lazy media narratives about crime statistics.
Cece starts the day talking to the Lord and saying she heard a million-dollar promise. Funk immediately notices she is not exactly running on full power. From there, the morning slides straight into workplace mess. Mina comes through, and the crew tries to look busy before anybody can start asking questions. Cece and Funk are sent by Miss Cassandra and the judge to catch a hair burglar. Raphael Daily Baltimore arrives like the room already belongs to him. He says the salon got hit with lice, the media wants a black culprit, and the whole thing is being dressed up with fake outrage. He makes it clear he does lace fronts, not lice fronts. The Wiggy Awards are coming, and that means the hair business is about to go fully public. Raphael's unseen collection becomes the bait for the thief, then he unveils wigs that are less fashion and more weaponry. Funk gets a black and purple Eiffel Tower with hot-comb spike lasers. Cece gets a burgundy and gold bob with snakeskin pockets and surveillance tech. The crew realizes these wigs might do more than look good. They might catch somebody in the act. The episode keeps turning a salon problem into televised spectacle. Raphael keeps leaning into the drama like he was born under stage lights. Later, the company says Raphael was the only one who saved everybody by jumping in. That makes him the only person eligible for the reward. Bradley shows up with fake dreads he copied from TikTok and says the hair and install cost just twenty-one dollars at a new shop called Rafi's. By the end, the whole thing is humming with murder-investigation energy and a shank joke before the credits roll.

As heard by us

Wigs fly, the jokes come fast, and a hair-burglar caper turns salon drama into chaos.

A hair-burglar caper gives the episode its spine, and a salon gripe soon widens into a Black-hair-centered workplace mess. Cece and Funk get pulled toward the Wiggy Awards, a theatrical stylist, and wigs that carry both spectacle and trouble.
