Week 15 gets the fast lane. Stan opens by saying he barely knows where to start, then quickly kicks the Jets, Jaguars, and Washington-Giants material out of the room. He is not pretending to cover everything evenly. He wants to talk about his betting record, the three weeks left, and whether Miami or the Sunday night game can help him dodge a losing season. The pressure feels personal. He keeps returning to the chance of his first losing NFL year on the show, while also admitting he is not even sure how many years he has been doing it. Stan says he does not know what Kelsey will do, then says Kelsey looks like he should have retired two seasons ago. Kansas City becomes the thing to watch, but not because of standings drama or glory. It is about how that team handles the final three games. The close is familiar.
