Episode 110 - Their Satanic Monastery's Request

September 15, 2015·35 min·3 clips
A medium's trance conjures shadowy figures during a seance inside a reclusive Bulgarian monastery.
The séance image refuses to behave. Alex describes two small shadowy figures beside one much taller shadow, and the shape does not feel random. Then Charlie Strand starts to slip. Asked what she and her father were doing during those missing days, she says they were trying to find her mother. That is about all she gives. The obvious questions follow: businesses, roadsides, any clue the police might have missed. Charlie will not stay with any of it. She says Alex has to ask her father, as if the answer is his to hand over. Alex catches the dodge. Charlie admits she stayed with him for four days, could not find her mother, and left for her grandparents. After that, something broke. When Alex points out that Charlie arrived angry and had completely disowned her father, the interview tightens up. Charlie names no reason. She only repeats that Alex has to ask her father, which makes the silence feel less like privacy and more like a warning. So Alex asks. The trail moves to Tina Stevenson and a rented post office box, paid up but unused for years. Then the photo turns nasty. Tina is sure the image Alex sent shows the woman who rented the box. But Alex had swapped the picture. It was not Lisa Graves. It was Coralie Strand, sent because Tina's description of Lisa matched Coralie exactly. The episode ends on that bad little click: maybe two identities have been standing in the same place.
