Thomas Miller opens by tying this conversation back to episode 419. He says there is a strong spiritual wave moving in the wake of Charlie Kirk's martyrdom. In his framing, the moment is more than news. Christianity, he says, has moved to the front of the room. He notes that longtime listeners have seen this terrain before in earlier years of the show. A lot of those early themes came from his own wrestling with the Christianity he grew up in. He says that background was not just generic Christianity but fundamental Christianity. He says Luke reads like a physician wrote it. He points out that John feels different enough that some people question its origin. Then he moves on to Acts and the letters that follow. He talks through Paul, Peter, James, John, Hebrews, and Revelation. He also pauses for a grammar joke about calling it Revelation, not Revelations, and suggests reading the words in red if someone wants the gist. He ends by pointing to the Bible's history, including councils under Constantine in the 300s AD, and leaves the listener with the sense that the whole thing still rewards a closer look.
