S10 E4: The Red Cab

March 30, 2026·41 min·3 clips
A neighbor suddenly confirms she saw Jacqueline in a red cab the night she vanished, describing her as upset and alone.
A scar keeps pulling the episode back to one question. The host sits with Sebastian in his backyard, looking at his leg and asking whether the encounter he describes with Jackie left any other marks. Sebastian says no. He says Jackie punched him in the face, while other accounts place a visible gash or wounds on his leg, with other marks remembered on a hand and maybe an arm. Luis remembers seeing the injuries. They were not deep, he says, but they were visible and already starting to heal. Sebastian told him he had slipped on ocean rocks while coming out of the water. The host stays with the specific details, especially the scratches Luis says he noticed on the hand. Luis describes scrape-like wounds, and the ocean-rocks explanation made sense to him because the marks could have come from a fall. Then Travis adds a different memory. A Canadian expat who owns a local restaurant, he talks beside a small pool at night while a large, light-colored bat keeps skimming the water. Travis noticed the leg too. He says Sebastian talked more than he should have, and the injury looked to him like a motorcycle fall. When Travis asked, he says Sebastian denied that and said a dog had run at him on the beach. The pieces do not line up cleanly. A punch, ocean rocks, a motorcycle fall, and a dog on the beach all circle the same scar. The host leaves the mismatch in place, close to the day Jackie disappeared.

As heard by us

A scar, a story, and the uneasy space between what was said and what people saw.

Someone Knows Something stays close to one physical thread: Sebastian's injuries, the account he gives for them, and what others say they noticed after Jackie disappeared.
