Young Women Murdered, Decades Pass, Justice Finally Comes

March 2, 2026·1 hr 26 min·5 clips
The episode starts in the middle of a reopened murder investigation. Detectives work back through Foreman's alibi and try to confirm whether he was with LaTanya during the weekend Don was murdered. One investigator realizes LaTanya was never interviewed, so he meets with her directly and gives her the time frame of the murder, January 12, 1979. She says she was not with Foreman then and that she was in Texas attending college, and an administrator later finds transcripts from that period that place her in Texas at the time of the murder. That makes the original statement look shaky and gives investigators something solid to work with. They also want a fresh statement from Foreman, so Detective Kerner gets a valid phone number and calls him. He does not fully recognize the case right away and tries to keep Foreman on the line while asking about any intimate relationship. Foreman stays guarded, and the call makes clear why the investigators wanted to reach him again. The team already has other pieces from Steve, and they know Don was afraid of the man who lived in apartment 50. The episode stays focused on the dates, the interviews, and the pressure points that keep the case moving forward.

As heard by us

A procedural stretch built around alibi checks, 1979 transcripts, and a tense call to Prentice Foreman.

Detectives work through Prentice Foreman's alibi against LaTanya's account of the weekend Don was murdered. She says she was not with Foreman and was in Texas attending college, and the 1979 transcripts support that version.
