Championship Weekend Recap and the Bills and Steelers Get New Head Coaches

·1 hr 5 min·5 clips
Florio reveals why Bills fans are furious over Joe Brady's promotion and how it shakes his Super Bowl confidence.
January 27 opens with resignation. Marcus Grant says the football season basically feels gone, then the panel gets right back to the coaching fallout fantasy managers care about. Tennessee still looks thin. The Cam Ward point is blunt: if the roster needs that much help, the fantasy ceiling only climbs so far. Miami takes over quickly. Bobby Slowik is expected to become offensive coordinator, which brings up the obvious question of why Jeff Halfley would keep someone from Mike McDaniel's staff. Florio is not shocked, exactly. He thinks Miami probably was not in the Grant and Udinski sweepstakes, the Davis Webb sweepstakes, or Brian Dable. The bit is funny, then it turns useful. Slowik gets a fair hearing through C.J. Stroud, since Stroud's rookie season came with Slowik in Houston. Then the line got worse, Stroud slipped, Houston moved on from Slowik, the line got worse again, and Stroud hit another low. So no, the hire is not some magic fix. But the panel can see a case that Slowik was not the biggest issue, which matters when fantasy managers start pricing Dolphins players. Then the quarterback door opens. Laquan likes Kyler Murray as a Miami fit and treats Tua's time there like a story that has already played out. That is the usable part. This is coaching news with teeth: role projection, quarterback stability, and whether Miami can still carry fantasy starters. They close by dodging the Pro Bowl and teasing a Thursday fight over the second-best quarterback alive, because debate season never really leaves.
