Entrepreneurship Lessons from Running 100 Miles

David Goggins says when you feel empty, you may still be only at 40%.
The setup is personal. Chris says the show usually centers the listener, then uses his own recent finish as the teaching material. He is 47. The run took him from Vermont through New Hampshire to Maine, starting Saturday morning and ending early Sunday afternoon. That distance gives him the analogy, but he does not treat it like one giant heroic push. He keeps coming back to the smaller work underneath it. Training began with walk-run combinations, short outings, longer mixed efforts, strength sessions, and hill work. Little by little, the capacity showed up. Business, in his view, works about the same way. A builder has to keep moving between marketing, sales, course creation, website work, automation, customer conversations, and competitive research without letting the basics vanish for weeks at a time. His practical answer is calendar blocking. Dedicated blocks protect content creation, team support, management, and the other repeat work that keeps the business alive when projects start piling up. Systems beat heroic bursts. He prefers routines over one all-consuming project, because steady attention gives multiple initiatives room to support each other over time. The run is not framed as a stunt. It is a way to talk about endurance, pacing, variety, and the mindset behind an online education company. Beginners still get a seat at the table. He speaks to people with goals and dreams, while nudging them toward an ultra long term view of building. The tone is steady and encouraging. By the end, the hundred-mile story lands as a founder lesson: big goals usually come from repeated blocks of useful work.
