The Cuban Coast Guard killed four people on a Florida-registered boat after a firefight in Cuban waters.
Glenn starts with callers, and the first argument lands hard: could anyone look at Al Green, Omar, Elizabeth Warren, or Kamala Harris and call that a better direction? Glenn does not pretend to find the question subtle. He says people are not listening, not looking, and that the read is incredibly stupid. Then, just as quickly, he softens. He likes Jim, and that matters here. The segment keeps bouncing between blunt opinion and the old local radio courtesy of letting people have the floor. Gunnut gets thanked and moved along. The bottom of the hour is coming, so Glenn has to clear the line without turning it into a production. Donnie comes back in, and Glenn starts poking at him about New York State, spring, summer, and whether he is drifting off toward the Midwest, Vegas, or Miami. It plays like a question, but the roast is right there. Nobody parks on one topic for long. Politics, caller management, travel teasing, Jim letting people talk, then a caller who thanks Jim plainly. The episode is less about policy than the permission to keep messy talk alive. By the end, winter takes over the mood. Glenn looks toward the extra light, the trees coming back, and the fact that people have made it through seasons like this before. Dr. Michael Schwartz gets a late tag too. Glenn says he has not been on lately and is apparently in Arizona having fun with Charlie Hayes.
