Rockin' Ron kicks off Rewind with Hawk Nelson and Seventh Day Slumber, both on tour in 2026.
The Rewind hour on the Rockin' Ron Show is a format dedicated to playing Christian music hits from the past. Host Rockin' Ron opens by noting that two of the featured artists — Hawk Nelson (represented by Jason Dunn) and Seventh Day Slumber — are currently touring in 2026. He plays 'Drops in the Ocean' (Hawk Nelson) and 'Caroline' (Seventh Day Slumber) as openers. He then curates a set themed around female rockers from the 90s: Super Chick's 'Stand in the Rain,' Jennifer Knapp's 'Undo Me,' and Barlow Girl's 'Never Alone.' An older act, Milo Fever and Broken Heart, is featured with 'Stranger to Danger.' Sanctus Real's 'Whatever You're Doing,' Kutless's 'What Faith Can Do,' and Audio Adrenaline's 'Pierce' follow. The hour is interrupted by an Our Daily Bread devotional segment based on Isaiah 26:3, written by Katera Patton and read by Tony Collier. The devotion uses a story about a co-worker praying over a sinus infection to illustrate the concept of redirecting focus from pain to God. Subsequent music includes Starfield's 'Everything is Beautiful' and David Crowder Band's 'Everything Glorious.' Ron closes the show by noting the thematic coincidence of two 'everything' songs back-to-back and deliberately selecting three closing songs built on the word 'nothing': Third Day's 'Nothing Compares,' Margaret Becker's 'Never for Nothing,' and Rich Mullins's 'Nothing is Beyond You.' The episode contains almost no conversational content; the vast majority is song audio transcribed as lyrics.
