A one-year-old child was in the back seat when Rashad Newton shot and killed her mother Alessia.

It likely kept more blood from being shed, but it does not erase what happened before. Rashad's cousin is arrested for interfering after admitting she misled officers at first and stalled for time. The episode closes back on Alessia, whose death shows how domestic violence can destroy a life and leave everyone nearby living with the damage.
