Haunted House Flippers · JD Lauriat

28 - Home Again

December 8, 2025·35 min·3 clips
Tom Miller announces his wife inherited a house from her dead aunt, launching their paranormal investigation.
The house looks wrong right away. Tom and Janet show up at Aunt Kathy's inherited property expecting a renovation problem, then find Edna Martin beside a place that already seems to know it is bad news. The sign is suspicious. A haunted for-sale notice is still out front, even though the listed realty office has been gone for quite some time. Janet tries to stay polite. Tom, naturally, treats grief, real estate, and basic tact like problems he can crash through at the same time. Edna offers condolences. Janet admits she barely knew Aunt Kathy, which turns the inheritance from lucky break into awkward gothic homework. The comedy keeps twitching. Tom's zombie-apocalypse read on the boarded-up windows rubs against Janet's unease and Edna's calm, old-fashioned patience. Then grief sneaks in from the side. Janet remembers a call the day she graduated high school, and the joke suddenly has a bruise under it. Edna does not push. She suggests Janet may be mourning the relationship she never got to have, and that lands more gently than anyone was ready for. Tom clocks the therapist energy. Edna denies having a second job and hands out wise old wisdom for free, because apparently haunted-house logistics now include counseling. The mystery stays practical. Aunt Kathy put the house up for sale years earlier, but the sale never happened, the office disappeared, and nobody cleaned up the evidence. Not comforting. The closing credits pull back to the handmade fiction of it all, naming the small creative team and repeating that no AI was used anywhere. One inherited haunted house. One marriage already bickering through fear, grief, and a worrying amount of deferred maintenance.
