Introducing: SIGHTINGS – A New Weekly Series from QCODE & Reverb Exploring the World’s Most Mysterious and Unexplained Phenomena

October 2, 2024·39 min·2 clips
A small figure with a big head, yellowish eyes, and taloned fingers walked out of a silvery glow toward the farmhouse.
Sightings opens with a question. It leans on the ordinary fear of a room feeling wrong, then stretches that feeling into a weekly show about mysterious supernatural events, from legends and alien abductions to haunted places and other strange cases. The hook is immediate. The episode promises Bigfoot, the Polaroid Ghost Rider, Roswell, Amityville, Loch Ness, and a steady run of mysteries told as first-person stories rather than dry reports. Then it drops into Kentucky. A family in the 1950s sees a strange glow outside the house, watches shadowy figures move across the windows, and realizes the night has turned hostile. The tension builds fast. The people inside hear pounding on the roof, glasses rattling in the cupboard, and a scraping sound that makes the intruder feel close enough to claw its way in. The house turns into a trap. When the family opens the front door and tries to surround the threat, a clawed hand appears above them on the awning and almost reaches one of the men. The response is pure panic. They fire into the darkness, find another creature in a maple tree, and watch it drop only to land unharmed, as if bullets barely matter. Even that does not end it. Another figure comes around the corner, takes a point-blank shot, and seems to absorb the impact without blood, holes, or any ordinary damage. The creatures move wrong. By the end, the family has learned that guns do little against whatever is outside, and the story becomes another eerie example of what the show is selling. The show keeps the tone theatrical. The host credits and closing notes frame the story like a polished preview, but the episode still sells the fear through speed, detail, and a steady refusal to linger where the listener already knows the answer. The attraction is the mood. Sightings works best when it lets one night in Kentucky stand in for a world of unexplained encounters.
