The director of 'The Final Sacrifice' is about to watch its Mystery Science Theater episode for the first time.

Jeff Arbuckle introduces the episode as a co-production between his websites Film Seizure and bmovieanima.com, prompted by producer Laura Davis who connected him with the filmmakers. The interview focuses on 'The Final Sacrifice', a film that gained notoriety through its Mystery Science Theater 3000 episode. Tjardus Greidanus recounts his early filmmaking days in the Netherlands and Canada, where he made his first feature, 'The Fire Within', for $500. He wrote the script for 'The Final Sacrifice' after studying screenwriting, inspired by Spielberg films and cult themes. Greidanus self-financed the movie with help from high school teachers, shooting it with a five-person crew using equipment rented from film school. Rob Skeet explains how he was hired as composer after auditioning with a demo for the bicycle chase scene, creating the score on a Roland W-30 sampler with sounds loaded from a floppy disk. The actors, including Bruce and Christian, were found through resumes in a filing cabinet. Greidanus learned about the film's MST3K fame years later on a set, while Skeet, a fan, discovered it through the DVD release. The documentary will feature Greidanus watching the MST3K episode for the first time and revisiting filming locations. The Kickstarter campaign aims to fund this behind-the-scenes project, with rewards including new musical versions of the Rowsdower theme.
