NFL DFS Week 17 Preview: Main Slate Lineups, Picks, Stacks and Ownership

·1 hr 12 min·4 clips
Jamar Chase is being treated as an every-lineup play in a 53.5-point Bengals-Cardinals game.
They open on a Friday holiday-week edition and note the show will stay on Friday at 11 o'clock for the next two weeks before going back to Thursday. The tone is relaxed, a little off-balance, and still all football. Meg says the extra holiday time brought a nice surprise. She celebrates a single-entry win from the three-game Christmas slate and calls it a $1,000 Christmas bonus. Mike leans into the same holiday mood and says this is one of his favorite stretches of the year. The panel keeps circling the overlap between holidays, football, and nonstop slate prep. They point out that the main slate is not the only thing happening, because there is also a two-game Saturday slate and the college football playoff rolling in. The conversation stays on DFS choices instead of broad NFL talk. When the discussion gets to Jaguars-Colts, Meg says Trevor Lawrence has been on a tear. She likes the matchup and notes what Purdy did to the Colts defense. She does not force a stack, though, because the passing game can spread out. Her read is that Lawrence belongs in the player pool and can be played solo. On the Colts side, Jonathan Taylor comes up first. The matchup is tough, and the offensive line issues have made the ground game harder to trust. Meg then moves to Alec Pierce, who she sees as a contrarian downfield option after an almost 100-yard game against Jacksonville. She also mentions that Phillip Rivers was willing to keep feeding Pierce on Monday night. Mike agrees that the Colts have several cheap receiver paths. He singles out Alec Pierce, Josh Downs at 4200, and Michael Pittman at 4900 as prices worth considering. He says he likes the upside of Pierce and Downs, and he thinks the game can work as a run-back if you are stacking it. Later, Mike says he is likely to keep Trevor Lawrence as a solo play in his own lineups, and the show closes by reminding listeners about the contest link, the 150-entry cap, and the Friday return for the next show.

As heard by us

A holiday-week DFS preview that turns slate talk into lineup decisions.

The Friday DFS preview stays firmly on the useful side of football coverage. It works through the holiday-week main slate with a steady focus on lineup choices, player pools, and stacking decisions, so the conversation feels practical rather than slogan-driven.
