·40 min·4 clips

Big Z and Red Dog preview the Lions' must-win Thursday night game against the Cowboys to get back on track for the playoffs.

The episode begins with hosts Big Z and Red Dog expressing optimism after the Lions' last loss, setting the stage for a crucial Thursday night game against the Cowboys on December 4th. They introduce the show as a Detroit Lions fan podcast. Red Dog discusses the Lions' new 'find a way' slogan, which he sees as an evolution from the previous 'grit' mantra, emphasizing the challenge of sustaining success in the NFL. The hosts then delve into injury updates, noting Terry and Arnold are out for the year, while players like Kirby Joseph, Kalif Raymond, and Brock Wright are sidelined or questionable. They express concern over the secondary's health, mentioning cornerbacks like Jeff Okudah and Emmanuel Moseley. The conversation shifts to the Cowboys' strengths, including Dak Prescott's 3,200 passing yards and 25 touchdowns, running back Jalen Williams' 955 rushing yards, and receivers CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens. They critique the Lions' pass rush and discuss defensive adjustments needed against Dallas' offense. In the prediction segment, Red Dog names Brian Branch as his Roar of the Week, expecting turnovers, while Big Z picks Jameson Williams for a big game. They share predictions from absent crew members UJ and Bob, with UJ forecasting a 35-24 Lions win and Bob predicting 45-7. Red Dog humorously predicts a 96-7 victory, and Big Z goes with 38-24. The hosts also note the Lions' Thanksgiving game drew 47.7 million viewers, and they briefly mention a high school football rivalry involving Brother Rice. They wrap up by encouraging listeners to subscribe and review the podcast.
