400th Episode Slip and Slide SCATacular

September 18, 2024·45 min·4 clips
A one-star review from CG31950 telling them 'losers, move on' made Andy disappear from the podcast for three years.
The reboot starts with a fake handoff. Luther Danger brings in Andy and Wendy, calls it the 400th episode, and instantly turns the milestone into a trial about Andy disappearing for years. Nobody seems ready, which somehow becomes the engine. A one-star Apple review from three years earlier gets handled like evidence, backstory, and emotional damage all at once. Andy says he moved on. Wendy gets dragged into it too, with a promise that her version deserves time, even while the room keeps dodging anything that might count as closure. Then the history segment gets taken hostage by panic. A rough plague bit tries to explain mass sterility without sounding like the old show, then keeps getting weirder. Luther keeps correcting himself, chewing on pronunciation, and asking whether anyone came here to learn. Someone almost teaches something. That only makes it worse, because the plague details turn into a grim little scoreboard of loss, efficiency, and body horror. The joke never lands cleanly. It bounces into pager explosions, half-remembered rap, and the proud idea that listeners might be taking notes for self-improvement. By the end, the episode has stopped pretending to have bones. The last stretch swerves through diet talk, a stray fart confession, Keds, Kias, plastic bags, Dexter prep, and workplace measurements. The Midwest takes blame for reasons nobody really defends. Even the 400th episode label slips into 400-something, which sounds closer to the truth. The energy leaks out in real time. Someone starts wondering about food, nutrients, and whether finishing is physically possible. It does not wrap up. It just gets left there because the machine is empty.
