Ep 381 "Critically Haappy Thanksgiving"

November 20, 2025·1 hr 39 min·3 clips
The crew shows up already talking shit. MIG1, Rick the Rizzo, and Eric Fairenuff Lopez open with food jokes, age jokes, and the kind of room noise that says nobody is pretending the mics caught a polished show. Nobody is being delicate. They bounce from gluten-free mac and cheese to menudo, from hominy confusion to Black Rifle and vitamins, and the whole opening feels like a table full of guys trying to start the show while still finishing their snack. Then the sports part kicks in. The Eagles catch heat for not knowing whether they want to run the ball or throw it, and the conversation keeps widening until Buffalo, the Bears, Detroit, Kansas City, Baltimore, and the rest of the playoff mess are all getting dragged into the same argument. The hosts are not impressed. They keep pointing at the obvious stuff, like Saquon not getting enough touches, Jalen Hurts scrambling because the plan is busted, and A.J. Brown complaining while the routes still need to be run. It stays mean. The panel treats the whole NFC and AFC picture like a bad bet, with the idea of a Buffalo-Philadelphia Super Bowl sliding toward maybe not, and even the Patriots getting tossed into the pile as a joke about how weird the season has become. Cowboys time shows up next. Monday Night Football, the Raiders, and Dak Prescott's four-touchdown night all get folded into the same stream of talk, and the blowout becomes another excuse to point at how fast a lopsided game can turn into Cowboy history. The show keeps drifting. There are callbacks about being old, forgetting vitamins, drinking Black Rifle, and the general comedy of three guys trying to move a conversation along while they keep dragging more junk into it. That is the whole engine. They do not clean up the edges, they let the interruptions, corrections, and side jokes pile up, and the mess ends up sounding like the point instead of the problem. The close gets sentimental. They trade Thanksgiving wishes, wizard-house jokes, and quick sign-offs, then push listeners toward iHeartRadio, Spotify, Podbean, Apple, and whatever app is handy. It lands warm. What remains is a rude, familiar holiday hangout that still knows how to say thanks before it walks off.

As heard by us

A holiday hangout that turns into a loud, funny sports argument.

Critical Thinking Podcast turns Thanksgiving into a loose kitchen-table hangout, built on food, aging jokes, and the kind of side comments that only land when everyone is already in stride.
