Ed Nassau explains why Elvis couldn't have faked his death because nobody would choose to die on the toilet.

Thursday opens with greetings piled up like loose records. Ed starts the all-night show from 94.9 The Rock, all five hours of talk, tunes, and tomfoolery, and claims he has solved a mystery. The trail starts with a drive into the city and a conspiracy podcast trying to puncture urban myths without losing its grip. That sounds tidy enough. Then the thought rolls over, because the radio brain wanders while the car keeps moving. The music rant shows up quickly. Ed keeps getting tricked by guitar intros that sound like they might save the song, right until the rest of the song arrives. He is irritated, but clearly having fun with it. This is not really music criticism. It is a man keeping himself company and scoring disappointment as it happens. Then a caller almost gets away. Ed catches him before the hang-up and tells him he is losing his old insult-based entrance cue. A promotion, more or less. Ed decides the caller is not the worst of the regular voices anyway. The caller already has a nominee: someone who starts with J and ends with "or-gate," which Ed treats as the obvious setup. Bits get retired while they are still in motion. Ed also explains that another recurring word game died because too many answers became repetitive body-part jokes. The show keeps rebuilding itself live. Near the end, Ed is openly moving callers around, comparing himself to a symphony conductor while admitting he is talking nonsense. Then he clears the runway with rock-radio inventory: Stones, Wayward Saints, Guns N' Roses, and Green Day before the midnight return.
