Big Blue Kickoff Live 11/14 | Giants vs Packers Preview

·46 min·4 clips

The Giants face the Packers with Jackson Dart in concussion protocol and key players like Kayvon Thibodeau likely out.

The episode begins with hosts Paul Dottino and Matt Sitek introducing the show from the Hackensack Medical Center podcast studio. They immediately dive into Giants injury news, noting Jackson Dart remains in concussion protocol and players like Kayvon Thibodeau and Evan Neal did not practice, likely ruling them out for the game. The return of cornerback Paul Sinodivo is highlighted as a boost for the secondary. Shifting to the Packers, the hosts discuss their significant injury loss of Pro Bowl center Josh Jenkins, replaced by Sean Ryan, which could impact their run game. They detail Packers running back Josh Jacobs' efficiency, with 11 rushing touchdowns in nine games, and the team's run-heavy approach. Jordan Love's recent struggles, including no touchdown passes in two games, are analyzed, especially his poor performance under pressure. The Giants' defensive challenges are explored, including linebacker injuries and the potential use of Abdul Carter in different roles. Fan calls address topics like head coaching candidates, with callers debating Mike Kafka's interim role and suggesting names like Mike Tomlin or Matt Patricia. Another caller proposes moving cornerback Deontay Banks to safety, but the hosts caution against mid-season position changes. The episode concludes with promotions for Giants content and a reminder of the upcoming game, wrapping up early to tape an interview with Devin Singletary.
