Is This a Car Podcast?

It really is a bigger hassle than I think people realize
Is this about cars? The episode starts with the panel grading its own premise and wondering if the title should just admit the uncertainty. Nick has another car itch. His dad sends a picture of a V10 R8 in for service, and that kicks off the latest round of vehicle shuffling. The prepared topic list is already in trouble. Honda class action suits, Lucid, General Motors, Apple CarPlay, and rising-value cars all get named as possible stops, with the group basically admitting only a couple will make it through. They are right. The fun comes from how the car setup keeps drifting into ownership logic, errands, gear, and whatever someone remembers five minutes late. Then cigars take over. Teddy has been on cigar duty, and the group compares better previous buys with the dry cigars from Connecticut National. The details are weirdly useful. They talk wrapper labels, remembered humidor placement, rough price points, Romeo and Julietta, Arturo Fuente, and the annoying problem of liking a cigar without knowing what it was called. Then the tools become the point. Jordy's small wooden cigar holder, Teddy's torch, and a cutter in the bag turn into the little system that keeps things from falling apart on the course. Regular lighters do not hold up. Wind, missing cutters, pocket knives, and the tee trick all join the same practical inventory check. The car thread never really leaves. Even when the subject is cigars and course pockets, the rhythm still feels automotive: price, reliability, gear, preparation, and what works when you are actually using the thing. The ending stays self-aware. They rate the podcast around eight and a half or nine out of ten and joke that scoring themselves should become a regular closer. Listener questions are requested too, with the honest warning that they may take a while to reach the table. The show moves at its own pace and lets the detours win.

As heard by us

A loose garage chat that turns car shopping into real-world arithmetic.

This episode keeps coming back to garage math: whether a Golf R or a Cayman should make way for one car, and whether a V10 R8 or a GT4 still makes sense once the price is on the table.
