Favorite Engines By Cylinder Count! Are Sedans Important?

March 10, 2023·1 hr 10 min·3 clips
What EV would we pick? It has to be under 60 grand - that's like a normal person's EV, even though it's still wildly expensive.
It starts with fuzzy cameras. Ted, Nick, and Josh settle into another viewer questions episode with half-fixed setup issues and a stated hope for a tighter hour. That hope does not sound especially sturdy. The car talk lands on sedans, and the Kia K5 gets a real look because it has sharp styling and punchy GT numbers. Looks matter here. So does torque. They keep putting the K5 against the Accord, especially with Honda dropping the stronger 2.0 option and leaning into hybrids. The numbers get checked and corrected as they go, with the K5 hitting a surprising 311 foot pounds in the conversation. That clearly wakes them up a bit. From there, the comparison spreads to the Mazda 6 Turbo, Camry, Legacy, and Sonata as they work through who still sells what. All wheel drive becomes more important than expected. This never turns into a clean spreadsheet debate, because the question keeps coming back to what someone would actually buy or want to drive. The Sonata section gets hazy, with family buying logic, front wheel drive assumptions, and spy-photo chatter about a facelift or next generation all floating around. It stays conversational, not final. The useful part is how one sedan question turns into a practical check on power, traction, styling, and availability. The ending moves into housekeeping. They talk through delayed video plans, a Friday or Saturday release, and a slower but active rhythm for future car reviews. More cars are on the docket, including a Fiesta ST in California, a Dodge, and a few other reviews they want to keep good.
