Dicey Bastards S2 E17: Demon Seamen

December 24, 2025·59 min·5 clips
The deck gets ugly. Stan Dandeliver is no longer a half-elf and now shows up as a half-orc, a human-orc hybrid, which is exactly the kind of change this table refuses to treat with much dignity. Moog notices the body. A dead orc child is lying on the deck, his brains splattered across the wood, and everybody reacts like the room has been handed fresh material for an argument. Moog wants answers. He asks who did it, gets told not to worry about it, and immediately starts pushing for a real explanation. The demon doubles down. Vogelark says the orc child is only what it looks like, calls it an illusion spell, and keeps the explanation moving while the rest of the table keeps heckling the idea. Moog is still unconvinced. He throws down an insight roll against the demon's persuasion, and the numbers give Vogelark enough breathing room to keep spinning the story. Vogelark acts amused. He says not to worry about it, says he thought it would be funny to make Moog see a dead orc, and leans into the bit. The room keeps circling. He thanks them for freeing him from the elf child's horrible thing and starts explaining how long the binding has been hanging over him. Vogelark says the elf child summoned him a long time ago, learned his name, and bound him into a deal that still holds. The pace stays loose, with recap, scene-setting, and argument all bleeding together as the table keeps talking over the top of the mess.

As heard by us

A dead orc child, a lying demon, and a table that keeps making the worst angle funnier.

This episode runs on a bleak little setup: a dead orc child on the deck, a demon insisting it is all an illusion, and Moog stuck deciding what to believe.
