Dicey Bastards S2 E12: This is Fine

·1 hr 6 min·4 clips
Drew Hayes says he is "not slowing down for any of you fucks" and names Villains Code audiobook dates.
The room is already on fire. Several enemies are down, one is still standing, and the party is trying to get its turn in before the whole thing slips further out of hand. A droid gets hurled across the room by a poof ability. The mimic then wanders off to find more food, because even a monster apparently needs a snack break before it can stay dangerous. The cast treats that pause like breathing room and snaps right back to the restaurant. Jorser is still there, having stood up naked and then laid back down again. Nobody in the room manages to act like this is ordinary for very long. Moog tries to misty step into the mix and get out of the party, but it mostly shifts the trouble instead of solving it. Richard the bard is left staring at a giant calzone. A burger is waiting on the other side, because the show likes its threats edible and ridiculous. Cigarette smoke, bardic inspiration, and bad timing all get used like real strategy. The running recap keeps snapping back into scene work without losing the punchline. The cast keeps one-upping the room with dry, filthy, quick callbacks. What should feel like two separate threads starts behaving like one long bad decision. That is part of the charm. The ending lands on a cliffhanger and feels more like the table running out of runway at full speed.
