Payne Interviews Kerri Rawson, BTK's Daughter (Part 1) [bonus]

September 25, 2025·33 min·2 clips
Keri Rawson reveals her father may have been in her childhood bedroom 'getting off' while she suffered night terrors at age six.
The excerpt starts as an iHeart podcast, then swerves into promotion before any interview can settle in. The first long ad centers on Clayton Eckerd, Laura Owens, and a contested paternity claim. Love Trapped gets most of the room here, with courtroom audio, internet detectives, Scottsdale Police, and an indictment in Maricopa County doing the heavy lifting. Then another promo rolls in. Rattled and Shook is pitched through ghost stories, haunted hotels, satanic panic, themed episodes, guests, games, and listener scares. The actual episode stays out of frame. The loudest moment still belongs to Love Trapped, with repeated talk of doctored tests, tax dollars, and sunlight as disinfectant. Then the sound changes. A promo for Rorschach, Murder at City Hall brings in the first real crime-scene texture: a silver .40 caliber handgun recovered at the scene. July 2003 appears. Councilman James E. Davis enters New York City Hall with a guest, and both men are said to be armed. The chamber breaks into chaos, with voices describing people getting down, shots fired, and the confusion after a public murder. Still no interview. The end turns toward Radio Rental and its mix of true crime, horror, comedy, and nostalgia. It names several threats: the baseline serial killer, the shoe bomber on flight 63, paranormal stories, cryptids, doppelgangers, and Laura of the woods. The useful note is practical: this is a heavy ad-load stretch, so clip selection should skip these iHeart promo blocks and look elsewhere for the interview.

As heard by us

Payne Lindsey's call with Kerri Rawson gives Monster BTK a stark, personal entry point into BTK's lasting fallout.

Atlanta Monster drops into Monster BTK for a spare bonus installment built on one charged premise: early in the making of the show, executive producer Payne Lindsey received a call from Kerri Rawson, BTK's daughter. That alone gives the episode its pull.
